B - What is the Focus Tool
When you have built a complete picture of the existing research and gathered several hundred scientific papers, it's time to narrow down the reading list with the Focus tool. Focus tool produces a precise list of the relevant papers that you should actually spend time on reading.
You will first import a collection of research papers or patents that you want to include in your review. "My account" allows you to upload your saved Iris.ai maps and "Remote" import pulls in the research papers from your own library.
In the first stage of your Focus study you are asked to mark key concepts for inclusion and exclusion. In the second step Iris.ai groups documents together and assigns descriptive topics for papers. There you'll use topics to select inclusion and exclusion criteria to narrow down the reading list.
Finally, you can verify the reading list and export the papers in a .csv or Bibtex file.
